Nursery (0-2 years)

Our Nursery is available from 9:15am – 12:15pm each Sunday.

Nursery age children learn of God’s love from wonderful people who care for them, play, read and sing songs in their own “Play -n- Worship” Sunday School Class.

Twos and Threes

Our toddlers are engaged in various activities including Bible story-time, music and crafts. Children learn about “Our Great Big God” through Bible stories, and are encouraged to participate in the story through dramatic play, hand-motions and song.

Preschool

Preschoolers are discovering the Bible stories in order, learning the character of God as they learn about the great heroes of the Bible.  Preschool children are actively learning through songs, games, play, crafts and tasty snacks.  They are learning that God loves them very much and cares about everything in their lives.

Kindergarten through 5th Grade

Our elementary kids are getting into the Bible and the Bible is getting into them in the “Bible Max” class. Children have a great time exploring the Bible, praying for each other,  singing lively songs, playing exciting games, doing science experiments, creating art, and making and eating tasty snacks. They are learning that the Bible has answers to problems kids face in daily life.   They are also learning about the character of God and learning that HE is completely trustworthy;  that HE loves them completely and has a plan for each of their lives.

Heartbeat Central Missions = Children helping Children!

Sunday School Mission offering is going to help the children at Navajo Ministries in Farmington, New Mexico. We are helping to support an 11 year old Navajo girl who lives at one of the Children’s Homes on the Mission; and sending money to help build a new Navajo School. This is a great way to help children share the blessings they have with Navajo children in our own country who are in great need. Check out the web site at www.navajoministries.org.

Director of Children’s Ministries

Sandy Wilson has been on staff at Central since January 2008. She and her husband, Gene, moved to Chambersburg from Geneseo, Illinois. A pastor’s wife for 26 years in Illinois, Sandy has been deeply involved with church ministry. She has a heart for children and a desire to see them develop a life-long personal relationship with Jesus. Helping children apply Biblical truths in every day life is very important to her. Gene and Sandy have two grown sons, two beautiful daughters-in-law, one grandson and one granddaughter.     Spending time with family & friends, exploring outdoors, stitching, baking cookies and finding joy in the journey of life are the things she likes best!
